The purpose of the paper: to develop approaches to psychological follow-up of medical workers of cancer care institutions under the conditions of hostilities by assessing their psychoemotional status and resilience. Methods of research: psychodiagnostic, social-demographic, statistically mathematical. Theoretical and practical results: the paper provides an assessment of the psycho-emotional status, resilience and coping strategies of the medical staff of the institute under the conditions of war. 90 % of medical workers had high and moderate emotional distress, increased anxiety (78,05 %), fears (58,54 %), symptoms of anger (36,59 %) and depression (26,83 %), sleep disorders (60,98 %), constant fatigue (59,57 %), decrease in memory and attentiveness (21,28 %), eating disorders (29,27 %). High resilience was observed in 32.95 % of medical workers, moderate – in 65,91 %. “Avoidance-oriented coping” was used by 45,45 % of workers, “Problem-oriented coping” – by 26,14 %, “Emotion-oriented coping” – by 5,68 %. We developed a technique of psychological follow-up of the staff which included organizational and psychological interventions, psychoeducation and psychological support aimed at optimizing the psychological state and increasing stress resistance. After implementing the system of psychological follow-up, there was a significant decrease in distress by 23,09 %. Originality: the work is the first to study the degree of mental traumatization of medical staff of a cancer care facility who work under the conditions of war and features of their stress-relieving behavior.
