An interactive geomodel for creating vector maps of the ecological state of soil cover based on remote sensing data has been developed on the GIS platform ArcView 9.2. Calculations confirm the possibility of significantly increasing the efficiency of tasks related to space monitoring of soil cover, and this indicator reaches approximately 9 percent. An ecological and agrochemical cartogram of the state of agricultural lands has been constructed, which demonstrates the spatial distribution and degree of soil degradation.
