Scientific and practical recommendations, 4 scientific articles and 9 publications of an approbation nature have been prepared within the scope of the scientific topic. The purpose of the study is to prepare scientific and practical recommendations for high-quality psychological support of police officers who are preparing for release from service and retirement; outlining exercises and appropriate methods for preserving the mental health and social integration of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs after the end of their service. A detailed analysis of international experience regarding psychological support for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs before leaving the service was carried out. Scientific studies of international experience and the situation in Ukraine have proven that the most effective programs of psychological support for law enforcement officers and military personnel are complex in nature, covering psychological, social and professional adaptation. The study confirms the importance of an early start of preparation for the transition to civilian life, which is reflected in the programs of many countries and adapted in Ukraine taking into account wartime. Aspects of psychological readiness of police officers for retirement were revealed; the psychological features of the personal experience of the crisis of the end of the career, the construction of a life perspective and corresponding strategies during the period when the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs end their professional activities are determined, and the life resources for the prevention of personal deformation of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are outlined.
