According to the results of the selection and X-ray analysis of soil samples of arable land damaged as a result of hostilities, an increase (compared to control samples) in the content of barium was established. The dynamics of the content of chemical elements in damaged soils was not accompanied by regulatory changes in the state of arable land and was determined by the initial concentrations of controlled elements. In a reconnaissance experiment to assess the phyto-ameliorative characteristics of modern crops, a selective nature of the assimilation of individual elements was revealed. Thus, the sowing of blue mustard contributed to a decrease in the content of barium and zinc. The sowing of field peas contributed to a reduction in iron content in the arable soil layer, to a lesser extent chromium. The dynamics of the accumulation of heavy metals in quinoa plants (Komiza variety) indicates the potential of the crop for the remediation of soils with an increased content of lead and cadmium. As part of the implementation of the program for the selection improvement of crops based on indicators of suitability for cultivation on lands with an increased content of certain highly toxic elements, sunflower breeding samples with increased resistance to cadmium accumulation and a breeding sample with signs of accumulator plants were created and registered with the National Center for Plant Breeding and Breeding. The latter is capable of assimilating and removing from the soil during the growing season up to 20 g/ha of biologically active cadmium. According to the results of the research, 4 articles were published in publications included in the National Library of Plant Breeding and Breeding, 2 - in professional publications of Ukraine. A patent was obtained for the Komyza quinoa variety, 3 sunflower breeding samples. Product Description popup.authors Datsko Oksana M. Elina A.
