It was found that the synthesis of samples based on a polymer matrix with the addition of carbon nanotubes containing synthesis defects at a temperature of 230°C contributes to the partial preservation of the granular structure of the polymer in the composite with the formation of a continuous polymer matrix that envelops the CNTs. During directional rolling, the CNTs are mainly oriented along its direction. Directional rolling of the composite at elevated temperatures allows obtaining samples with a predominant orientation of the CNTs along the rolling direction. The obtained samples are opaque to IR radiation. In the presence of contact between the composite sample and the heated surface, the intrinsic radiation of the samples becomes noticeable, depending on the thickness and composition of the sample, after a time of several seconds to several minutes, while the opacity of the material in the IR range remains, which indicates the possibility of using such materials as absorbing coatings.
