New habitats and species of dragonflies (Odonata) and mayflies (Ephemeroptera) were discovered, including rare and fossil forms from Ukraine, Asia, and the Caucasus. New taxa were described, expanding knowledge about their evolution, distribution, and ecological adaptations, and diagnostic keys for their identification were developed. New data were obtained on faunistic and taxonomic changes in marine and freshwater ichthyocenoses of Ukraine's water bodies, particularly the impact of invasive species on ecological balance. Changes in the structure of ichthyocenoses in the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, and freshwater basins, caused by anthropogenic factors, climate change, and invasive processes, were identified. The adaptations of invasive species, their impact on local ecosystems, and trophic chains were described. The ecological niche and adaptation of introduced rock lizards, Darevskia armeniaca and Darevskia dahli, in Ukraine were studied. It was found that their populations maintain high density and numbers despite unfavorable climatic conditions; however, widespread expansion of the species is unlikely due to their stenotopic nature and dependence on microclimatic factors. The study also presents data on new habitats of rare snakes (Coronella austriaca and Zamenis longissimus), indicating changes in their range and risks associated with habitat destruction and human activity. The distribution and changes in the mustelid fauna of Poltava and Kyiv regions over the past 100 years were analyzed. The analysis of morphological and physiological variability in insect populations showed that it reflects genetic diversity and environmental factors.  Product Description popup.authors Baidashnikov Oleksandr O.
