The structure of the synthesized compounds was confirmed by NMR spectroscopy, as well as IR spectroscopy. Homogeneous composite films of PVC with modifying additives have been prepared. The results of IR-study revealed physicochemical interaction between carbonyl groups of additives and C-Cl groups of polymer matrix with the formation of molecular complexes. Most of the synthesized compounds have high resistance to migration from PVC, at the level of common plasticizer BEHP. It was established by differential scanning calorimetry that tertiary amides reduce the glass transition temperature (Tg) of PVC by 70-90 °C at a content of 20-30 % and, accordingly, exhibit the properties of primary plasticizers. Onium salts have a weaker plasticizing effect on PVC and reduce the Tg value by 40-70 °C at a content of 20 %. The results of mechanical studies confirm the plasticizing properties of the modifying additives, which are manifested in a significant increase in the elongation at break of composite polymer films (in 10-40 times) compared to pure PVC. According to the results of thermogravimetric analysis, PVC compositions have a thermal degradation point above 200 °C and are suitable for processing by industrial methods. Microbiological studies have shown that PVC compositions with tertiary amides of undecenoic acid exhibit antibiofilm activity against gram-negative (Escherichia coli) and gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria at a content of 30 %. Hydrophobic onium salts have a broader spectrum of antimicrobial activity compared to tertiary amides and effectively inhibit the formation of microbial biofilms on the surface of PVC at a content of 20-30 %.
