Research methods include metallographic analysis, X-ray phase analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and the determination of casting and physico-mechanical properties. The optimal technological parameters for obtaining a high-entropy alloy of the Fe-Ni-Cr-Cu-Mn system by casting have been established, and its phase-structural composition and properties have been investigated. X-ray phase analysis revealed that the alloy consists of two solid solutions based on FCC phases and complex carbides (FeCr)₇C₃. The relatively low melting temperature of the developed Fe-Ni-Cr-Cu-Mn alloy ensures energy-efficient alloying without the need for significant overheating and prolonged holding times compared to alloying with individual components. It has been determined that the optimal amount of the alloy addition to gray cast iron is 0.5 wt.%, resulting in an alloyed cast iron with chemical composition, structure, and properties that meet the requirements for antifriction materials. The feasibility of using the Fe-Ni-Cr-Cu-Mn alloy as an energy-efficient master alloy for the production of antifriction materials with enhanced properties has been demonstrated.
