The model is based on the physical effects that accompany the penetration of a pulsed electron beam into the irradiated target and takes into account the back emission of molten matter during the pulse. On this basis, a mathematical model has been built that describes the process of changing the temperature field, taking into account the target heating rate, changes in the thermophysical characteristics of the target material and its phase state. For the case of a long-term set of absorbed dose, the processes of irradiation of zirconium with a flux of thermal neutrons have been studied.
