The role of IL-17A and IP-10 as markers of fibrotic changes in the liver that significantly influence disease progression, particularly in patients with HBV/HIV co-infection, was first proven. Unique characteristics of ALT dynamics in the blood serum of patients with HBV on the background of HIV infection during antiviral therapy (ART) were identified, with an increase in the incidence of "ALT flare" observed within ≤6 months of treatment.
