The object of research is resource-saving modes and technologies. Research methods – non-linear programming method, software-oriented model, particle deposition process modeling, simulation modeling, maximum power point method.In the work: an expert system for controlling the movement of electric rolling stock was developed based on the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation using the nonlinear programming method, which applies the inverse approach to solving by time coordinates; the proposed modernization of the equipment of the functioning water treatment plant in the washing and cleaning building of the trolleybus depot by introducing new technological and engineering solutions and using a model that most fully reflects the hydrodynamic state in the sedimentation tank at different flows of polluted water; considered features and directions of application of photovoltaic technologies on vehicles, taking into account which will make it possible to increase the efficiency of solar devices for increasing the resource of autonomous running of electric rolling stock and powering its auxiliary systems, which will ensure energy savings; the proposed energy loss meter, which implements the function of determining ampere-square-hours, based on modern microprocessor meters, and uses a simulation model of measuring energy losses in traction networks to establish the feasibility of using the device; the analysis of the use of electric drives by various branches of the national economy of Ukraine and by purpose, as well as the classification features of the modernization of electric drives by industry and types of production, was carried out, which made it possible to substantiate as the main field of modernization of electric drives of medium and small power for the residential and communal complex.
