On February 24, 2022, the armed forces of the Russian Federation began a full-scale invasion of the territory of sovereign Ukraine. The seismic network of the Main Center for Special Control of the State Space Agency of Ukraine registered a large number of explosions (rocket, aircraft strikes), in which the striking effect is seismic waves. Seismic vibrations from explosions have a harmful effect on the structures of operating industrial installations for various purposes, on locking, signaling and communication systems, underground communications, foundations of buildings and structures and can lead to damage and destruction. Based on the analysis of the energy parameters of seismic signals and the corresponding explosion powers, the relationship between the explosion powers (Y) and the intensity (I) of seismic vibrations was obtained depending on the power (Y) of explosions in TNT equivalent in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv regions. The results of the analysis of the I=f(Y) ratios allow us to assess the intensity (I) of seismic vibrations depending on the power (Y) of explosions in TNT equivalent and their danger. Based on the data obtained, additions were made to the existing software and mathematical support at the workplace and operational station for assessing the intensity of seismic vibrations from explosions of rocket, aircraft, and artillery strikes.
