The first answers uniform supply of cold coolant through the lower plane of the disc located at a given distance from the bottom of the tank. The second involves the uniform supply of cold coolant through the lower plane of the "petals" of a given radius, located at a certain distance from the bottom of the tank. A numerical solution to the problem of thermocline formation is considered displacement of the hot coolant by the cold one from the non-pressurized storage tank. At the first stage of the work, there was preparations for the numerical experiment and computer modeling were carried out: 1. A system of equations describing hydrodynamic and thermal processes was obtained. 2. The choice of geometrical parameters of coolant supply devices, mode and thermal parameters of numerical modeling for reproduction of processes in the studied objects is substantiated. 3. A grid of the division of the calculation area was built, which satisfies the conditions of the study. 4. The selection of the discretization and interpolation schemes, the algorithm of connection of pressure fields and velocities is substantiated. At the second stage of research: 1. Numerical modeling of the supply of cold coolant to the storage tank filled with hot coolant was carried out. Special attention was paid to the influence of the spread of the cold coolant on the formation of the thermocline and the intensity of mixing at the boundaries of the coolant volumes of different temperatures. 2. A preliminary assessment of the thickness of the thermocline was carried out and its relationship with the height of the location of the feeding device was revealed. 3.
