The purpose of the work is to develop an algorithm and create recommendations for the identification and improvement of commodity examination of certain groups of non-food products. The analysis of the scientific literature on the identification and commodity examination of certain groups of non-food products showed that theoretical and experimental studies on this problem are insufficient, and in the case of some products, there are none at all. The theoretical principles of conducting commodity science and identification examination for the development of its algorithm for certain groups of non-food products, taking into account their specificity in terms of consumer properties and purpose, are substantiated. A complete complex algorithm for the identification of non-food products was created, taking into account the oversaturation of the domestic market of Ukraine with low-quality counterfeit products.
