The subject of the study is the regulatory legal acts of Ukraine and the legislation of the European Union in the sphere of public law. The purpose of the study is to reveal the current problems of public branches of law of Ukraine and international public law, as well as to develop proposals for improving the legal regulation of individual institutions of public law. The methodological basis of the study is a set of philosophical and ideological, general scientific and special scientific methods of cognition, which provided an objective analysis of the subject and the reliability of the results obtained. Formal-logical, comparative-legal, systemic-structural and other research methods were also used. Public law itself should ensure the effective functioning of public authorities, guarantee the implementation of human rights and freedoms, and be the basis for the full development of private law. Modernization of the procedure for the formation and functioning of public authorities, expansion of civil society participation in its implementation, and reform of public law necessitate the scientific substantiation of these processes and amendments to current legislation in order to improve it.
