This task is accomplished by calculating the distribution coefficients of elements in the metal-slag system taking into account the properties of melts and the introduced components. Analysis of modern studies of interaction in the metal-slag system indicates a lack of experience in taking into account the structure of metal and slag melts (including melts of slag mixtures and ferroalloys). The structure of melts largely determines the efficiency of steel refining. The purpose of the work is to establish the influence of the component composition of metal and slag on the properties of their melts and to develop complex indicators and structure-sensitive criteria for assessing the processes of element distribution in the metal-slag system. To achieve this goal, the choice of structure-sensitive criteria is substantiated and models are developed for predicting the distribution coefficients of sulfur, manganese, silicon and aluminum between metal and slag. From the position of the relationship between viscosity and electrical conductivity of oxide melts (as structure-sensitive properties), the optimal composition of slags and slag mixtures for steel processing in a furnace ladle is substantiated.
