It was established that for the case of computer graphics, it is best to use the RGB color space, which is hardware-adapted for its visualization on monitors, and the vast majority of digital image processing methods are developed taking into account this color model. A method for quantitatively assessing the visual quality of digital images is proposed, which is based on the analysis of the distribution histogram using moment functions and takes into account the laws of human visual perception of images. A method for quantitatively assessing the visual quality of digital color images is developed. The advantage of the method is that, unlike most known analogues, it does not require a reference image. The proposed method was verified on test images with various types of distortions that are characteristic of steganographic systems. The improvement of steganogram concealment using the color space modification method was investigated. It is proposed to improve the steganographic method taking into account the laws of color perception with redistribution of hiding places by color components. Simulation modeling of the proposed method was carried out, which demonstrated improved hiding characteristics and reduced probability of detection through visual inspection. It is proposed to increase the efficiency of steganographic data hiding by using iterative functions and adding a small fraction of noise to the steganocontainer image, which determine the pixel coordinates for data hiding.
