The aim of this stage is to develop a method for unambiguously determining the biconical cavity eigenfrequencies with the use of the overlapping domain decomposition method. Method: analytical calculation and computer simulation. It is shown that the equation in the eigenfrequencies may have extraneous solutions. A method is developed for extraneous solution elimination by solving the above equation for two values of the collocation surface radius and determining the eigenfrequencies as solutions common for both radii. A method is developed for determining the length of evanescent zones at the biconical cavity ends with moderate computational effort.
