Objective of the Work: Application of mathematical simulation methods to analyze the operation of low-thrust rocket engine systems and determine their jet flow effects on the functional components of new spacecraft during the design process. Research Methods: Numerical modeling of processes in hydraulic systems, fuel valves, and combustion chambers of low-thrust engines, as well as the formation of jet flows of combustion products; numerical modeling of the interaction between jet flows and sensitive elements or components of spacecraft. Achievements: A review and systematization of literature on the parameters of low-thrust rocket engines and the effects of their jets on spacecraft functional components were conducted. Research directions were identified for modeling the operation of low-thrust engines and the interaction of their jet flows with SC elements. Problem statements were formulated for the identified research directions. Computational models and algorithms were selected and adapted to one of the developed systems to study the operation of low-thrust rocket engines and the impact of their jet flows on SC components. The results obtained during the first stage of the work will be used in subsequent stages of the project. This research continues work on topics previously conducted at the ITM NASU and the SSAU from 2012 to 2020. The results of the work are intended for use in the rocket and space industry.
