Subject: The study included one patient with BPH with acute urinary retention, who was placed with a Foley catheter. Research methods: Sterilization surgery was performed. Results: During the observation period, a decrease in prostate size was observed by 9% from the preoperative state. Conclusion: The hypothesis that the cessation of the effect of high concentrations of testosterone on prostate tissue by bilateral interruption of the connection between the veins of the d. deferens and the prostatic venous plexus will lead to a clinically significant decrease in the size of the gland and improvement in urination was not confirmed in this clinical case.
