Registration Date 08-01-2025 Organization State Institution "National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after MM Amosov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description1 To study the patterns of development of lung lesions to improve the results of cardiac surgery in patients with a history of covid-associated pathology and comorbidities popup.description2  The results of the research are the following conclusions: 1) computed tomography (CT) in combination with image texture analysis technologies, as well as machine learning technologies, is a source of obtaining a large amount of information that is of high value both for scientific research and for supporting medical decision-making; 2) the use of machine learning technologies for analyzing medical CT images allows to significantly increase the accuracy of diagnostic measures, as well as reduce the time for obtaining medical decisions, and reduce the duration and cost of diagnostic and treatment measures; 3) the developed technologies allow to track such signs of Covid-19 as frosted glass, cobblestones and consolidation in dynamics and thus assess the effectiveness of the treatment process; 4) it is shown that the structural patterns of CT images of the lungs in the acute period of Covid-19 disease are significantly different from those in the remote period (LONGCOVID) and in bacterial pneumonia, the CT signs of which are almost never found together with signs of COVID-19; 5) the use of the developed technologies allowed to significantly (by approximately an order of magnitude) increase the accuracy of identification of myocarditis in patients with COVID-19 compared to standard methods; 6) the detection of signs of LONGCOVID and (or) COVID-19-related myocarditis in patients with a cardiac surgical profile will allow to adjust the treatment tactics, as well as reduce the frequency of associated complications and improve the quality of cardiac surgical care.
