Determination of the quality of sodium hypochloride “Methodology for determining the light transmission coefficient, mass concentration of active chlorine, active alkali in terms of NaOH.” The object of the study is sodium hypochloride. The purpose of the work is to develop a method for determining the light transmission, mass concentration of active chlorine, active alkali in terms of NaOH. To achieve the goal, the following tasks are defined in the work: – development of a sampling method; – development of a method for determining the light transmission coefficient; – determination of the mass fraction of active chlorine; – determination of the mass concentration of alkali in terms of NaOH; – to develop a standard of the State Enterprise “KYIVSTANDARTMETROLOGY” for determining the quality of sodium hypochloride. Research methods are physical and chemical. The study was conducted on the basis of the scientific and testing laboratory of the State Enterprise “KYIVOBLSTANDARTMETROLOGY”. The developed methodology applies to the determination of the quality indicators of sodium hypochlorite, which is obtained by chlorination of an aqueous solution of caustic soda. Formula NaClO.
