The object of the research is the physical culture and sports movement in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the postwar years (1943-1950). The subject of the study is the historical, organizational and methodological factors of the development of the physical culture and sports movement in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The purpose of the work is the formation of a system of scientific knowledge and its improvement from the historical aspects of the development of physical culture and sports in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Research methods. To solve the set goal, the following research methods were used: - analysis of scientific-methodical literature and program-normative documents (domestic and foreign sources); - analysis and synthesis of theoretical material; - systematic and historical (comparative-historical, historical-typological). During the reporting period, an analysis of literary sources, scientific-methodical literature, archival documents and program-normative materials was carried out on the planned topic, which provides an opportunity to reveal the historical foundations of the development of the physical culture and sports movement in Dnipropetrovsk region in the post-war years (1943-1950). The regularities of the emergence, formation and development of the physical culture and sports movement in chronological order have been revealed, and the features of its development have been analyzed. The historical aspects of the development of physical culture and sports in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the postwar years (1943-1950) were studied; the formation of the organizational foundations of the physical culture and sports movement is considered; the development of the reserve training system for the national teams of the region was revealed; the peculiarities of the material and technical base and personnel support as a basis for the training of athletes-relievers are highlighted.
