The goal of the work is to develop methods for estimating and reducing uncertainty of the internal doses, in particular, taking into account the limitation of data on exposure conditions and the variability of biokinetics parameters. Research methods are information-analytical and dosimetric. An analysis of international methods used to estimate the uncertainties of human internal doses and scientific publications on modeling the processes of radionuclide transport in the human alimentary, respiratory and other systems after ingestion and inhalation intake was carried out. An analysis of biokinetic models of the human alimentary system, respiratory system and system biokinetics was carried out and the parameters whose variability has the most significant influence on the uncertainties of internal doses after ingestion and inhalation intake were identified. There were developed methods for estimating the uncertainties of the internal dose after inhalation intake related to limited data on the physical and chemical form of the material that entered the human body, the dispersion characteristics of the aerosol, as well as the duration and intake time. Methods have been developed for estimating the uncertainties of the internal doses after ingestion and inhalation intake, related to the variability of parameters of models of the human alimentary and respiratory systems, as well as parameters of system biokinetics. Approaches to reduce uncertainties in internal doses have been developed. The results of this work were implemented in the letter of information “Uncertainties of human internal doses in emergency and other exposure situations” and presented to the Working Group of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) for the prepar Product Description popup.authors Berkovskyi Volodymyr B.
