The aim of the work is to determine the fundamental aspects regarding bacteriocinogenicity and spore formation in firmicutes as factors in their evolution by defining the conditions and effects of stress factors on the antagonistic properties of spore-forming probiotic bacteria and their ability to co-cultivation. Research methods include information-analytical (expert assessment of existing research methods), microbiological (microscopic, cultural, biochemical), and mathematical-statistical (using methods of variation and alternative statistics) for processing and analyzing research results. The probiotic species of Bacillus studied did not exhibit a significantly pronounced ability to suppress each other's growth. The culture of B. clausii did not show an inhibitory effect, while the culture of B. coagulans demonstrated a moderate inhibitory influence on the growth of the other two species of Bacillus using both diffusion methods. The culture of B. subtilis displayed moderate or weak inhibitory activity towards the culture of B. clausii and weak or no inhibitory activity towards the culture of B. coagulans when using the agar block method or wells on a lawn, respectively. The mixed cultures of B. coagulans + B. subtilis, B. clausii + B. coagulans, and B. clausii + B. subtilis demonstrated moderate, weak inhibitory activity, and the absence of such activity towards the third cultures, respectively. The studied species of Bacillus showed different swimming activities and potential for swarming, as well as the ability to affect each other’s motility. The swimming halos formed by the mixed cultures of B. clausii + B. subtilis and B. clausii + B. coagulans + B. subtilis covered significantly larger areas of the plates than the swimming halos formed by each culture separately over the same cultivation time.
