Research object: сhanges in the cryoresistance of human reproductive cells based on structural and functional characteristics and the dynamics of fish sperm survival rates depending on species affiliation. Research results. The cryoresistance of human spermatozoa is determined by their morphofunctional characteristics, including motility, membrane integrity, DNA status, and mitochondrial potential. The effectiveness of using 10% PVP for cryopreserving sperm from men with oligoasthenoteratozoospermia was demonstrated for the first time. The cryoresistance of human oocytes depends on the morphological features of extra- and intracellular structures, particularly the condition of the meiotic spindle. The cryoresistance of fish spermatozoa is determined by species specificity, including structural, physiological, and individual morphofunctional characteristics. The obtained results enable the adaptation of cryopreservation protocols for different species, populations, and even individual representatives, enhancing the effectiveness of genetic resource preservation programs. Research level: meets high international standards.Scientific significance: the study expands the understanding of cryoresistance mechanisms in human and animal reproductive cells. The identified dependence of sperm cryoresistance on species affiliation, structural-functional, and physiological characteristics reveals individual gamete features influencing post-freezing survival rates, emphasizing the need for cryopreservation protocol adaptation for specific species and populations. Practical significance: the findings provide a foundation for developing advanced cryopreservation protocols for reproductive cells. Product Description popup.authors Shevchenko Oleksandra S.
