In children of the observation groups, no significant differences in the frequency distribution of alleles C and T of the polymorphic marker Val16Ala-SOD2 of the SOD gene were found compared to other representatives of the Caucasian race. Among children - residents of the RRT, compared to children who were exposed to stressful life events during the war, there was a tendency to reduce the frequency of homozygotes with the SS genotype and to increase the frequency of heterozygotes with the ST genotype. Among children of both main groups, in ST heterozygotes of the Val16Ala-SOD2 polymorphism of the SOD gene, there was a tendency to increase the frequency of bronchial hyperreactivity compared to SS homozygotes.
