It was established that melarginin has vasodilatory activity and cardiotropic effect, strengthens the contractility of the isolated heart, increases the force and speed indicators of the contractile function of the heart under conditions of the action of damaging factors (ischemia, reperfusion).The neurotropic (nootropic) action of melarginin was established: the drug contributed to the preservation of cognitive function in amnesia, improved the process of spatial learning and memorization, increased endurance to physical and psycho-emotional stress, showed an antihypoxic and antistress effect. The obtained results substantiate the feasibility of further implementation and practical use of the combined drug in geriatrics clinics for the correction of functional age-related disorders cardiovascular and central nervous systems.
