The purpose of the work is to experimentally study the structure of the disturbance zone when a plasma flow flows around a system of point sources of magnetic fields and the effect of the superposition of fields on the drag force of a solid body. Research methods are theoretical and experimental. Procedures for determining the temperature of electrons and the velocity of ions in a supersonic flow of rarefied plasma are developed based on the results of current measurements in an isolated probe system with transversely oriented cylindrical electrodes. Calculation formulas are obtained, and the errors in determining plasma parameters are estimated depending on the geometric parameters of the probe system and the accuracy of probe measurements. The structures of the flow field near the surface of a "magnetized" solid body in a supersonic flow of rarefied plasma are experimentally studied. The influence of ion concentration, as well as the angle between the plasma flow velocity vector and the induction of the solid's own magnetic field on the electromagnetic drag force is determined. Numerical simulation of the supersonic rarefied plasma flow around a transversely oriented cylinder (with longitudinal magnetic field sources) is carried out. The structures of the plasma disturbance zone near the cylinder surface is obtained for different values of the flow velocity and induction of magnetic field sources. The results of the work are of a fundamental nature, intended for the development of methods and means of electromagnetic deorbiting of space debris objects. The field of use is fluid, gas and plasma mechanics. The socio-economic importance of this work is in the development of procedures, methods and means for pollution prevention, cleaning of the near-Earth space using MHD force.
