Purpose of work: creation of a new source material and breeding on its basis of a white lupine variety that is alkaloid-free, highly productive in terms of seeds and green mass, with improved forage qualities, resistant to major diseases, suitable for environmentally safe cultivation technologies. Research methods: field, laboratory, measurement-weight, mathematical-statistical. Main results of the research: to fulfill the task stage for 2024, a new breeding material of white lupine was created with a set of specified parameters of valuable traits. The new material was evaluated in all nurseries of the breeding process. Based on the results of the evaluations, numbers were selected that differ in early maturity, resistance to fusarium and tolerance to anthracnose, increased seed and vegetative productivity, improved forage qualities and other valuable traits. In the competitive variety test, the best breeding numbers 104/3, 105/4, 996/12 and 778/10 were selected (seed yield - 2.10-2.20 t/ha, duration of the vegetation period - 112-120 days, incidence of fusarium wilt - 1.0-3.1%), which also exceed the standard and analogues in resistance to adverse biotic and abiotic environmental factors and are characterized by a number of other valuable traits. Primary seed production of white lupine varieties Makarivsky and Serpnevy and preliminary propagation were carried out, and an in-depth comprehensive assessment of the best promising breeding numbers was carried out for valuable economic traits.
