It was found that against the background of a decrease in all indicators on the scales of physical health components, the most pronounced changes are recorded in the indicators of general health and role functioning due to physical condition. In the psychological domain, the most pronounced changes are recorded in such components as mental health, life activity, and social functioning. The closest probable positive correlation in men affected by combat actions was established between physical functioning and role functioning caused by the emotional state (r=+0.64; p<0.05). It has been shown that 196 men of the 1st group aged 20-39 years have a mild form of erectile dysfunction - the total score is 19.57±0.44. In 102 men of the 2nd group aged 40-53 years, there is also a mild form of ED, but the total score is much lower - 17.94±0.41. That is, with ED of any severity, all other sexual functions simultaneously suffer - sexual desire, confidence in erection, hardness and maintenance of erection, satisfaction with sexual intercourse and sexual life. The calculation of the redox index demonstrated a 1.5-fold decrease in the total capacity of the antioxidant system in the blood lymphocytes of men affected by combat operations compared to practically healthy men. The data on the state of lipid peroxidation and the activity of NO synthase and arginase isoforms in lymphocytes and peripheral blood serum of men affected by combat actions (bullet and shrapnel wounds) are presented. It was confirmed that in men affected by combat actions, inducible NOS can activate lipid peroxidation processes, as a direct reliable high-strength correlation between the activity of Ca2+-independent iNOS and MDA content was recorded (r = 0,74; р<0,05).
