Research methods: Microbiological, biological, pharmacological, physicochemical, and mathematical-statistical methods were employed. The aim of the work was to improve the disinfection method for surfaces, including wounds, using singlet hydrogen for application in military hospitals. In vitro studies on reference and clinical strains showed high antimicrobial activity of the solutions generated by the IOON ONE MED device, which was comparable to hydrogen peroxide and chlorhexidine. In vivo studies demonstrated that the studied substance is non-toxic. When modeling pseudomonas peritonitis using an antibiotic-resistant clinical isolate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the mortality rate of laboratory animals was 100%. However, when peritonitis was modeled with this isolate treated with the solution obtained from the IOON ONE MED device, all experimental animals survived. A single intraperitoneal administration of the solution generated by the IOON ONE MED device to the animals, 3 hours after modeling pseudomonas peritonitis, resulted in a survival rate of 40% among the studied animals. Acute and subacute toxicity, as well as the local irritating effect of the aerosol, were studied in experiments on rats. A single administration of the substance at a dose of 3.0 g/kg did not cause animal deaths and had no effect on their general condition and behavior. Administration of the substance at a dose of 0.3 g/kg for a month did not cause changes in body weight, peripheral blood parameters, or indicators characterizing the functional state of the central nervous system, heart, liver, and kidneys. Clinical signs of intoxication were absent. The absence of local irritating effects of the IOON Med spray on the skin of experimental animals was demonstrated.
