Registration Date 18-01-2025 Organization National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine A.V.Dumansky Institute of Colloid Chemistry and Water Chemistry popup.description1 The purpose of this project is to conduct theoretical and experimental studies of nonequilibrium, nonstationary and periodic phenomena in order to purposefully influence the surface characteristics of nanoscale and micron natural and artificial disperse particles, ion- exchange materials, diaphragms, suspensions, emulsions and foams; to regulate their polarization, electrokinetic, adsorption and catalytic properties in the application to the management of the characteristics of concentrated and diluted disperse systems and to the improvement of treatment of water and dispersions, as well as the creation of ecological sources of energy popup.description2 The objects of research are solutions of electrolytes, dilute and concentrated disperse systems. The aim of the work is the development of physicо-chemical models and experimental research of polarization, electrokinetic and adsorption processes in dilute and concentrated disperse and membrane systems. The purpose of the work is to carry out fundamental research aimed at regulating mass transfer in electrodialysis, identifying the characteristics of surfactant adsorption from their premicellar and micellar solutions, and controlling the properties of interfaces during the adsorption of surfactant mixtures. The research methods are methods of analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, and mathematical physics. The competitive transport of singly and doubly charged ions through NS-C cation-exchange membranes in the overlimiting current mode at various frequencies of voltage applied to the electrodialyzer has been studied. The adsorption of Triton X-100 and Tween-80 from their premicellar and micellar solutions on dilute and concentrate kaolinite dispersions has been investigated. A method for copper recovery from electroplating sludge has been developed. Software for modeling the adsorption of individual proteins and their mixtures with short-chain surfactants from solution at the interface with a gaseous or liquid medium has been created. The results of the conducted studies are important for the development of the fundamental principles of processes in disperse and membrane systems in application to water and soil decontamination technologies, as well as for understanding adsorption mechanisms and finding optimal surfactants for technological applications.   Product Description popup.authors Ivanova Zinaida H.
