According to the results of testing the antimicrobial effect of gels based on modified nisin compositions with sodium diclofenac at concentrations ranging from 0.1% to 1.0%, a moderate antimicrobial effect was established, increasing with the concentration of components in compositions with succinylated nisin within moderate levels and with acylated nisin – to high levels. The stability of the antimicrobial effect of the gels against resistant strains of microorganisms was demonstrated when stored under normal conditions for 60 days. The composition fully meets the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia for the parameter "antimicrobial efficacy" for pharmaceutical preparations for external use. The potential of gel forms based on compositions of succinylated and acylated nisin with sodium diclofenac for the development of new antimicrobial agents has been proven.
