Object of the study – The epidemic process of infectious diseases with different mechanisms, routes, and factors of pathogen transmission (specific vaccine-preventable, socially significant, intestinal infections); morbidity, prevalence, and vaccination indicators. Aim of the study – To determine the epidemiological features of COVID-19 in Ukraine during the evolution of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the formation of a new parasitic system, as well as the impact of the pandemic on the epidemic process of infectious diseases with different mechanisms of pathogen transmission (the most relevant vaccine-preventable, socially significant, intestinal infections); to develop approaches to integrated assessment and forecasting of epidemic risks. Theoretical significance: For the first time, using Ukraine as an example, the gradual change in the epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 from an emergent to a seasonal infection under the conditions of the formation of a new parasitic system was traced, and the impact of a medical and biological emergency of natural origin and martial law on the quantitative and qualitative parameters of the epidemic process of infectious diseases with different transmission mechanisms and varying levels of manageability was identified. Scientific novelty: For the first time, the dynamics of the COVID-19 epidemic process in Ukraine have been studied from the beginning of SARS-CoV-2 circulation (wave-like development; increased pathogen contagiosity during adaptation to the host species, decreased virulence, severity of clinical disease, lethality; active involvement of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in the epidemic process; predominant prevalence among specific age groups, professional and medical risk groups). Quantitative and qualitative parameters of the epidemic process of relevant vaccine-preventable (measles, rubella, mumps, pertussis, poliomyelitis) Product Description popup.authors Vynnyk Nataliia P.
