Soil moisture reserves were greater under spring barley crops than under spring wheat. The maximum level of spring barley yield in the current year was obtained with N60Р60К60 fertilizer after plowing - 3.52 t/ha. The highest spring wheat yield was found in the plowing variant with N60Р60К60 fertilizer - 4.01 t/ha. The highest profitability of spring barley grain production against the background of N45P45K45 fertilizer was with surface cultivation (67%), with a yield of 3.26 t/ha with sales revenue of 19.6 thousand UAH per 1 ha. The net profit from the sale of spring wheat was the highest with plowing and increased from control without fertilizers to maximum fertilization by 2.9 thousand. UAH per 1 ha, and with no-tillage shallow cultivation – 91−105% against plowing 89–100%, and with fertilizer application it was at the level of 74–75%. The highest profitability (100%) for spring wheat was obtained in the variant with N60Р60К60 with surface cultivation where, with a yield of 3.81 t/ha, the sales revenue amounted to 24.8 thousand UAH per 1 ha.
