The aim of this work is to develop methods for reliability justification of the launch pads for spacecrafts during operation and numerical analysis of the influence of initial imperfections on the stress-strain state of industrial shell structures, based on the developed methods. Research methods: reliability theory; applied probability theory; fracture mechanics of materials; methods of solid mechanics, statics and dynamics of thin-walled structures, structural mechanics, computational mathematics. Using the developed methods, the stress-strain state of thin-walled cylindrical structures with initial imperfections under local loads has been obtained. The finite element model of a steel tank has been verified in order to determine its compliance with the principles of the shell theory. Methods for reliability justification of complex technical systems, in particular - launch pads for spacecrafts during operation, have been developed. The results of the scientific research on the reliability of the launch pads for spacecrafts during operation have been summarized. The field of application is aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, and energy industry. The results obtained at the current stage will be used in the next stage for summarizing the research findings on the development and improvement of methods for service life prediction and ensuring the reliability of the launch pads for spacecrafts and shell structures in aerospace engineering and energy industry.
