Analytical support employing accurate analytical methods is essential at all stages of the lifecycle of both functional materials and pharmaceuticals—from pharmaceutical development to the quality control of drugs that are mass-produced and supplied to the pharmaceutical market. Increasing demands for the quality of both raw materials (active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients) and finished pharmaceuticals highlight the urgent need to develop new or optimize existing analytical methodologies to address both scientific and practical challenges in the areas of drug development, research, and quality control. The project employs modern physical and physicochemical methods, including high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, fluorimetry, absorption spectrophotometry in the infrared region, and absorption spectrophotometry in the ultraviolet and visible regions, among others. The application of analytical methodologies developed under the project will enhance the level of standardization and quality control of pharmaceuticals beyond the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (SPU) and leading international pharmacopoeias.
