The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations and agree on the calculation of ventilation of the excavation section 6 of the northern lava of slope No. 1 of the m42 layer, performed in accordance with the results of gas-air survey and the actually achieved load from coal mining. Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the results of measurements of actual methane release within the excavation section 6 of the northern lava of slope No. 1 during the period of its stable operation were analyzed. The air flow rate required for ventilation of the 6 northern lava of slope No. 1 and the maximum allowable load on the cleaning face according to the gas factor were calculated. Recommendations were developed for calculating the air flow rate for ventilation of the excavation section according to the results of gas survey. The calculation of air flow for ventilation of the excavation section 6 of the northern slope of slope No. 1 of the m42 layer, performed according to the results of gas surveys carried out by employees of the depression, gas and thermal surveys service of the 10th VGRZ, has been agreed.
