Head Kyiak Volodymyr H., Доктор біологічних наук Registration Date 22-01-2025 Organization Institute of Carpathian Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 Collection of information and on-site surveys on changes in vegetation cover, mapping of the locations of rare plant species, development of recommendations for their preservation and handling of invasive species of the RLP "Znesinnia". popup.description2  For the first time, a complete inventory of modern spontaneous localities of 35 rare vascular species has been conducted for the territory of the Park, of which 19 are included in the Red Book of Ukraine (2009), 10 taxa of the orchid family (Orchidaceae), as well as snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) are listed in the list (Appendix II) of CITES and 15 species are regionally rare. For the first time, new localities of eight rare species with national nature conservation status have been recorded in the studied territory (Crocus heuffelianus, Epipactis helleborine, Galanthus nivalis, Leucojum vernum, Listera ovata, Allium ursinum, Neottia nidus-avis, Taxus baccata). As a result of the research, we have proposed 32 aboriginal species for local protection, most of which are phytocenotic relics. Two rare species, in particular Cypripedium calceolus and Pulsatilla grandis, listed in Appendix I of the Bern Convention, are currently considered extinct within the Park. A study of the population status of 19 species included in the Red Book of Ukraine was conducted. Maps of their distribution were compiled. Based on studies of the current distribution and status of populations, their comparison with data from previous retrospective studies and observations, as well as an analysis of threat factors, conclusions were drawn regarding the viability of populations and recommendations were made regarding the prospects for the conservation of these rare plant species.
