Registration Date 23-01-2025 Organization The State Institution "Lugansk State Medical University" popup.description1 To develop new highly economical methods of biomarker diagnostics of apoptosis, inflammation, dysfunction of the glycocalyx and antiprotease system in predicting the course and complications of COVID-19 and community-acquired pneumonia in military personnel and civilians, including pregnant women. popup.description2  We studied symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder among internally displaced persons in Ukraine who contracted COVID-19 during the Russian invasion in 2022-2023. Our study demonstrated that the PC-PTSD-5 can be used as a reliable tool for screening symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder in internally displaced participants during COVID-19. We analyzed the level of urinary eicosanoid excretion in COVID-19 patients. All cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. We studied routine laboratory biochemical blood tests as markers of potential risk and factors for COVID-19 infection and the severity of respiratory failure in both women and men. With the increase in respiratory failure in COVID-19 patients, the levels of total and direct bilirubin in both women and men did not change; blood urea and creatinine levels were reduced in both women and men; Total protein and albumin levels decreased in women, while in men, on the contrary, they increased. The level of methionine-enkephalin and the activity of the renin-aldosterone system in patients with community-acquired pneumonia were studied. In patients with community-acquired pneumonia, a significant increase in all indicators was observed compared to the control groups (p < 0.0000001 for all parameters). This indicates activation of the renin-aldosterone system and an increase in the level of methionine-enkephalin as the body's response to the inflammatory process.
