PHYSIOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF STRAINS OF THE GENUS TRICHODERMA - ANTAGONISTS OF PHYTOPATHOGENS The object of research is strains of fungi of the genus Trichoderma. The purpose of the study is a comprehensive study of the biological activity of representatives of the genus Trichoderma, isolated from various econiches, including extreme ones for assessing the biosynthetic potential of fungi of this genus. Research methods are microbiological, mycological, chemical, physiological and biochemical methods. In the work, the antifungal and antibacterial activity of chloroform extracts of 48 strains of Trichoderma against a wide range of phytopathogenic test cultures was investigated. It is shown that the extracts of the studied strains exhibit a wide range of antibiotic activity against test cultures of phytopathogenic bacteria and micromycetes. The chitinolytic laminarinase and proteolytic enzymatic activity of selected highly antagonistic strains of Trichoderma was determined. A positive effect of culture filtrates and spore suspension of strains on the protection of plants from phytopathogens was established. In particular, it has been shown that culture filtrates of Trichoderma strains are able to stimulate the plant's biosynthesis of flavonoids and phenolic compounds, which increase the plant's resistance to the harmful effects of phytopathogens. The stimulating effect of certain dilutions of chloroform extracts of Trichoderma strains on plant growth was studied. It was shown that the spore suspension of the active strain contributed to the accumulation of wheat biomass against the background of artificial impression by the phytopathogen Alternaria alternata. Key words: antagonism, phytopathogens, Trichoderma strains, extracts, exometabolites, antibacterial activity, antifungal activity, chitinolytic activity, laminarinase activity, flavonoids, phenols, plant protection.
