The purpose of the work is to develop criteria for predicting rare-metal mineralization for the Azov megablock as a reference region of the rare-metal province of the Ukrainian Shield based on a geodynamic and geological-geochemical model of its formation. The conditions for the formation of rare-metal mineralization were determined based on a comparison of the geological, geochemical and geodynamic features of rare-metal deposits (Novopoltav (Chernihiv) apatite-rare-earth-rare-metal, Mazurov feldspar - nepheline - zircon - tantalum - niobium) and rare-earth deposits (Saltychan complex, Anadol orthite deposit, Azov zirconium-yttrium-rare-earth deposit) and criteria for predicting rare-metal mineralization of the Western and Eastern Azov region were developed.
