The aim of the work is the selection, evaluation of the effectiveness and location of methods emulsified wastewater treatment in the principle schemes developed for treatment facilities of enterprises of oil refining and petrochemical industries. Research objects: model emulsified wastewater (MEW), which in terms of composition and nature of pollutants imitated wastewater that can be formed at oil refining and petrochemical enterprises. Research methods and equipment: – settling in time of MEW without and in the presence of a coagulant; – treatment of MEW by flotation without and in the presence of flotation reagents; – removal of residual contaminants from MEW by the adsorption method; – optical method of the analysis of MEW and purified water. Theoretical and practical results. The main methods of MEW treatment are settling in time and pneumatic flotation. The presence of a coagulant and presence surfactants in MEW have a positive effect on the treatment of MEW by the main methods. Adsorption with activated carbon of the BAU-A brand was used as a method of deep treatment of water. Three principle schemes for the treatment of emulsified wastewater have been developed. It is advisable to use flotation in all of these schemes for the treatment of any type of emulsified wastewater. As for the settling method, its necessity depends on the type of emulsified wastewater; free areas for placing settling tanks and the possibility of heating emulsified wastewater during its settling. It is shown the importance of using an integrated approach in the process of selecting and placing effective MEW treatment methods in principle schemes in such a way that the quality of purified water increased with each stage.
