The subject of research is the parameters of the tool for vertical surface tillage. The objectives of the research are to develop and introduce into production tools for vertical surface tillage. The purpose of the research is to reduce the cost of performing pre-sowing tillage operations for growing crops by creating and introducing into production a competitive tool for vertical surface tillage. Research methods are an analytical analog method of creating new and improved machines, which is based on the analysis of the achieved technical level of similar products, systematization and application of scientific and technical information on fundamental technical solutions and designs of tools for vertical surface tillage. Experimental design work according to the rules of ESKD and current standards. Experimental studies with the determination of performance indicators of vertical tillage tools and technical and operational indicators according to the methods of current standards for testing tillage tools. Research results: selected rational types and parameters of working bodies, developed design scheme, terms of reference and design documentation for the manufacture of a prototype of a new tool; according to the developed drawings, a prototype of the tool was made; based on the results of the tests, the design of the prototype VT-7 was finalized, as well as the order received from the plant and executed under a separate contract for the development of a model range of unified tools for vertical tillage for tractors of various capacities. The developed model range of vertical tillage tools of the VT brand is put into serial production by the enterprise LLC "Krasnyanske JV "Agromash".
