The purpose of the work at the first stage of the research is to analyze global trends in solving the problem of providing the longitudinal stability of liquid launch vehicles (LVs). Development of mathematical models of low-frequency dynamics of various systems for damping longitudinal oscillations of liquid launch vehicles. Research methods – information-analytical methods, methods of mathematical modeling, theory of oscillations, theory of automatic control systems, computational hydrodynamics. The following main results were obtained during the research. Based on the analysis of global trends in solving the problem of providing longitudinal stability of liquid launch vehicles, the main development directions of current theoretical studies of liquid launch vehicles longitudinal oscillations and the most reliable and effective means of providing their longitudinal stability have been determined. The necessity of a systematic approach to solving the problem of longitudinal stability providing of liquid launch vehicles is substantiated. List of objectives, the solution of which will allow the creation of theoretical foundations for finding effective systems for damping longitudinal oscillations of liquid launch vehicles have been presented. The schematic diagrams of some passive hydraulic dampers are considered, and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. Mathematical models of low-frequency dynamics of a gas-liquid damper without a gas and liquid environments separator and gas-liquid damper with bellows gas and liquid separator have been developed. Test calculations of the gas-liquid damper parameters of longitudinal vibration have been made. The work carried out is aimed at further developing theoretical foundations for determining effective damping systems for longitudinal oscillations of liquid launch vehicles of different classes.
