In Ukraine's current and future situation, this project aims to develop smart antimicrobial hydrogel BC-based dressings for providing firstaid medical assistance to military personnel and monitoring wound healing. The production approval will be carried out at the factory. popup.description2 Hydrogel dressings based on bacterial cellulose (BC) are necessary means treatment of wounds and burns, but they are insufficient to provide assistance to the military and civilians. Post-war health care will be burdened by victims with chronic wounds received due to combat injuries. The project developed a prototype of a low-cost antimicrobial and smart dressing to help military personnel in the war zone, as well as civilians in the post-war period. We demonstrated the feasibility of using a biosensor to detect markers of microbial infection in a wound to monitor wound healing. Developed technical documentation was transferred to the company for the production of budget antimicrobial and smart dressings in factory conditions. Implementation of the project will bring to the market bandages needed by the military and civilians, which will significantly save money resources for treatment and hospitalization time.
