Registration Date 29-01-2025 Organization Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University popup.description1 To study membership of Ukraine in the common European medical history, scientific networking and academic culture, based on the example of Henryk Kadyi, Professor of Anatomy in Lviv popup.description2 During the reporting period, the study of the academic biography of Henryk Kadyi, a professor of anatomy at Lviv University, was completed, including an analysis of archival documents and literary sources. The research was conducted in the State Archives of Lviv Region (DALO, with the extraction of data from fund 26, description 10) and the Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine in Lviv (TsDIAL, with the extraction of data from fund 146, description 66, files 1230-1242). In parallel, research was conducted on archival data in Vienna at the Austrian State Archives (ÖStA) and work continued with the State Archives of Krakow (Archiwum Narodowe).The study also included archival research in Vienna and Kraków, providing a more comprehensive picture of Kadyi's contribution to the development of medical science in Ukraine. The professor's role in the formation of new scientific directions in medical education at Lviv University was highlighted. The results of the research were published in articles in SCOPUS-indexed international journals and presented at international conferences (05/16/2024 Vienna, 05/17/2024 Lviv). A separate analysis was carried out on the impact of academic mobility on the development of scientific networks in Europe, particularly in anatomy, as well as the participation of Ukraine, especially Lviv, in European scientific networks. A comparative analysis of the academic calendars of Lviv University and the University of Vienna revealed the influence of the Austrian academic system on education in Ukraine. Archival materials have served as the basis for several publications, including articles to be submitted in the near future. At the same time, research on the architectural influence of Vienna on Lviv, specifically on the construction of the anatomical building for the medical faculty, was conducted.
