Trends in vegetation transformation have been identified for phytocenoses disturbed as a result of explosions, pyrogenic processes, and other negative consequences. It has been established that in areas of natural and artificial forests in the war zone, where continuous logging took place, the spread of ruderal species, including aliens, was observed in the first stages of overgrowth. The defining trend of vegetation changes in transformed biotopes with various types of disturbances as a result of military operations is the significant spread of alien plant species. The movement of military equipment has created additional anthropogenic pressure on ecosystems by increasing the road network, which has led to increased ruderalization and adventitization of vegetation.Marker indexes of tolerance of indicator plants to chemical soil contamination have been identified. The scientific novelty lies in establishing patterns of changes in the state of phytocenoses depending on the type of disturbances caused by military actions and associated with the intensification of the processes of ruderalization and adventitization of vegetation. A coordinated change in adaptive strategies has been established in the event of man-made pollution, including toxicants that enter the natural environment as a result of military operations. The proposed methodological approach improves the system for diagnosing the functional state of plants under chemical pollution. The practical significance of the results lies in the development of measures to minimize the negative impact of the consequences of military actions on the state of vegetation cover. Scope: environmental safety, sustainable nature management, forestry, water management, invasive ecology. Product Description popup.authors Baranovskyi Borys O. Horban Vadym A. Didur Oleh O.
