The purpose of the work is to assess the risks and vulnerability of coastal areas to climate change. Research methods – literature analysis and the results of own observations. The impact of climate change on the processes of transformation of the coastline of the Black Sea of Azov and reservoirs of Ukraine has been determined. which often leads to the acceleration of its destruction and flooding of the surrounding area. In coastal areas, flooding is also affected by rising sea levels. An assessment of the impact of climate change on the reduction of the river flow of the rivers of Ukraine, the causes of which are primarily natural, primarily climatic. At the same time, there is an intra-annual redistribution of runoff, and although average annual indicators are decreasing, major flooding of coastal river territories throughout Ukraine is possible. The tendency to decrease the flow of the Danube has been confirmed, and this tendency has been increasing in recent years. A review of the literature on the impact of climate change on the increase in the frequency, duration, and intensity of "bloom" outbreaks of both surface and marine waters has been developed. A set of climate change-related factors influencing the development of "blooming" processes is outlined. It is shown that climate change is one of the main reasons for the decrease in oxygen content in the water of water bodies. The processes of decreasing oxygen concentration and the development of bottom hypoxia are observed in the Black Sea, rivers and reservoirs of Ukraine.
